Frequently Asked Questions

Since March last year we have been working hard to adhere to Government Guidelines.
Please read our points below to know we take your safety very seriously.

Now that we are in Tier 0, we are back in our Church building and no longer need to book in!
We realise that not everyone is ready to attend in-person yet.  No worries — you can continue worshiping with us online.

Will you be limiting the capacity of your buildings?

As per Government guidelines - all of Scotland is in Tier 0 and no longer have limits on the number of people allowed in our building.

Will I need to wear a mask?

We encourage you to wear a face covering whilst indoors in accordance with Government guidelines . 

 I’m not comfortable returning to church yet. Can I continue to be a part of the online Church?

Of course! We encourage you to continue joining us online each weekend until you feel comfortable attending in person. Our weekend worship experiences will continue to be on Facebook and YouTube. 

How will River Church practice social distancing in its locations?

We are delighted that we are not required to socially distance in Church but for those that still feel uncomfortable with being too close there is space for you to socially distance. We want you to feel comfortable.

How are we cleaning our facilities? 

We are cleaning doing extra cleaning after our services.  Additionally, hand sanitiser stations are located throughout the Church.

Will we be screening those who attend in person?

We ask everyone to use good judgment: if you are feeling ill or have a family member who is feeling ill, please stay home and participate in our online experience.

I’m new to River Church, how do I get connected?

If you haven’t already, click on "I’m new" and take some time and share your contact info with us on the form. We would love to get connected with you. You can find us on social media - there are links at the bottom of this page or you can find us by  by just searching River Church Banff. 

Will World Changers be available for my children? 

Yes! World Changers is now up and running! Join us Sunday mornings at 10am.  All are welcome!

Are service times changing at Church?

Our service is now at 10.00am on Sundays.  There is no limit to the number of attendees.  

Is there an experience for my youth age children?

Our youth ministry - Rush 121 is back up and running. The youth meet together on Friday Evenings from 7pm to 8:30pm . 

How can I continue giving?

During this time, we will be passing an offering basket; however, we  encourage digital giving. Check out our giving options by clicking the GIVE tab at the top of this page.

What is River Church doing during this time to serve the community?

As always, we’re committed to serving and supporting our community. We have managed to keep our food bank open throughout the entire last year of the pandemic. We are so thankful for our volunteers that have continued to serve this vital support.
